Black Bear 2023

The second of three in the Turning Point Collection. Using animals as inspiration, the artwork juxtaposes a colour that is associated with the animal to reflect the daily pressure life puts upon oneself. Draining everything you possess from your body until you are not recognisable, staring out with only the colour in your eye left. This is the “turning point” where you decide to start taking the pieces back. The sleek powerful fur of the bear is lost to the surrounds. It is encased in an enchanted fluorescent pink moulded frame.
